Hallucinations = either/some/all of the 5 senses ~sensing~ things that aren't there In order for it to be psychosis, the patient MUST be experiencing hallucinations and delusions simultaneously. i feel like a lot of "spiritual psychosis" is because people rely on it and it dictates their lives further than even some religions do. i know in 2020 i leaned on spirituality heavily and it really made me feel unwell in someway and like i was detached from the world, it can become alienating because you're letting these things make you second guess your own perceptions of things and you turn to them to give you the "real" answers. turning to tarot cards and pendulums because i was so unsure of how others perceived me and wanted to know the "truth" and i couldn't just see things out for myself.

The thing is, we have the power to leave and what others think of us doesn't define who we are nor our worth, but we can't change men's perspectives of us. Once they set their minds, it's over. Well, I would argue that girls aged 9 to 17 have always been interested in wearing adult make up. I would say the 2000s kind of shifted that desire and everyone just wanted to look like a rock star or Paris Hilton, and they didn't necessarily wear heavy make up. But in the 80s and 90s, yes, kids would crowd make up stores. The difference is 1) our parents didn't give us money to buy it and 2) we didn't have Tik Tok videos to know how to apply it nicely. Personally, I don't wear make up at all, I dress casually (hoodies, baseball caps, jeans mostly), and don't have any sort of procedure. I'm 34. My cousin is 24, has BBLs and fillers, a face full of make up, and has a very flashy and form fitting wardrobe. EVERYONE thinks she's older than me. I don't think she realizes that everything she's doing to look more beautiful and young forever is actually aging her.

I got braces as a kid cause my teeth were horribly misshapen and it caused me jaw problems. Idk what exactly went wrong but my bite went from an overbite to a cross-overbite. Basically my teeth didnt fit on top of each other before and after the braces and Ive been living with TMJ and chronic pain for years now

i went through a very minor version of this in 2021. it was in a relationship with a guy who in hindsight really did not like me, and every time i drove anywhere, i’d just say “if i see this color car, this will happen” and i couldn’t stop doing tarot reading about it. i still do tarot, but i see them more as a guide than fortune telling. also he was cheating on me with his ex, so i’m glad i was wrong

Hi, clinical neuropsychologist here! I don’t have too much to add, I just wanted to leave a comment and say that I really commend you for the way you discussed psychoses and mental illness here. Alot of times, I have to leave a comment “flexing” my degree with the need to discredit harmful and incorrect statements about mental illness, especially in the social media era. I really liked the way you discussed things, and I have to say I agree. Let me preface by saying that, although I am a scientist, I consider myself to be a spiritual/religious person in my own way, and am very open minded when it comes to individual experiences and beliefs. The mind is powerful and endless. Never say never! With that aside- While mania and psychosis have existed for as far back as humans have documented things, I do think the social media era has given people unfettered access to people’s delusions and psychotic behaviors. Spiritualism is a MASSIVE part of psychotic disorders (i.e., religious delusions, being convinced you’re the next messiah, etc) - it’s a tale as old as time. What I think is happening now due to social media is individuals with these manic thoughts or delusions are able to share with a wide audience, and sometimes connect with other individuals who suffer from similar afflictions. While I cannot make this statement on a widely generalized and causal basis, the rate of psychosis and delusions, whether substance-induced or due to a chemical imbalance skyrocketed at my hospital and clinic. I mostly work on the neuro side, but am also licensed to see and treat clients and did so during COVID. Loneliness, isolation, and existential anxiety, which was very valid and real during lockdowns, is an incredibly powerful thing. People cope in their own way, however maladaptive it may be. My best guess is that some individuals in their late teens-mid 20s who had psychosis without presence of substance use had a genetic propensity for this illness, and the fear and intense isolation caused by lockdown was the environmental trigger that gene needed to express. Like I said, although I am a professional, I cannot speak directly to these individuals as I am not their care provider. What I can say is some of the video clips you showed displayed speech patterns, verbiage, and behaviors that would warrant further testing for psychosis had they been my patient. If I was a loved one of the individuals shown here, I would be concerned at the very least. Although each individual can have a different experience, the general presentation of delusions and psychosis are remarkably similar in terms of content and verbiage. take care, stay connected, and love one another. Humans are intrinsically social creatures, and even introverts like me have suffered massively during these last few years. Hang in there everyone❤

I pray for the day where women who are black can stop being black women. The obsession with “blackness” forced on the women in the community is a flex by men to keep exclusivity and sexual access. Women who are black should be free - just like their male counterparts- to be individuals. I’m glad to see women who are black marketed with non-black men. That “crazy” claim that some people often use when they see that another person is beginning to “awaken” spiritually is very unfair because from my perspective, what happens is there is an enormous amount of very high vibration energy that’s being downloaded into the persons body & the person can become seemingly very “ungrounded“ & it takes TIME, sometimes a good year or 2 before all these new energies acclimate with their physical body & they become One with their newfound belief system. Yes, sometimes people will sort of run the other way to avoid having a conversation with them or the person who’s “awakening” can also feel as though they no longer feel a connection with the people around them. They only feel connected and comfortable around others who are also awakening. This is not a new thing! It’s really picked up in traction going back to around 2012-ish. This is humanity’s evolutionary process into the 4D/5D consciousness. It’s also a process of tearing down old paradigms & belief systems that no longer serve the greater good & the awakening process will also help in ushering in new ones. This spiritual awakening process is more than just people seemingly going through a psychosis. There’s so much more going on & if you look at the bigger picture, you’ll see it. It’s different for everyone but there are common ties that many experience simultaneously. This is necessary so people can band together in their commonalities and move towards something different that is serving the greater good of humanity and the planet.

I loved your video it was incredible. Watching this rise in spirituality has been both so exciting and heartbreaking to watch. As someone who was very fortunate to grow up in a household with a mother who believed and taught her family’s old Celtic believes and practices and a grandmother who felt the same way about her Nordic traditions. My siblings and I always had guidance and support to help us understand. The problem that I see a lot of people are now facing when then dive into spirituality is the lack of support, not having that person to go to when you have questions. But the reality is not everyone has access to that support or guidance. Although the internet can connect us and offer us a bunch of information it isn’t always health information. Something our Grandmother always used to tell us “Sometimes it’s just a bird” meaning that not everything is a sign or as a deeper meaning but that’s okay and is also part of the beaut of this world. I agree completely with you that we as humans want to connect and understand. It is easier for us to process things if there is a reason behind it. But unfortunately what happens is we start looking for a reason for everything it leads to paranoia, stress, self doubt and heartache. So this is why whenever I met someone who is going on this journey I tell them the phrase I mentioned earlier and try help support them when they get overwhelmed with all the information they learn. I know it’s hard for anyone who didn’t grow up in this life style and can easily get consumed. The best advice I can give is to trust yourself and be patient as frustrated as that can be. Remember to always trust your instincts when learning new information and if it doesn’t sit right with you no matter how knowledgeable the person may seem question it look up multiple opinions if you can. Also try to ask yourself first, pose the question to yourself and see what is your gut reaction. Never stop believing in yourself but always remember we doing our best when we have support. I hope you all grow and learn on your spiritual journey and find a community that supports and grows with you.
